  1. Subjects of application The maternity benefits
  • The female employees get pregnant.
  • The female employees give birth.
  • The female employee is surrogacy and the female employee thanks for surrogacy.
  • The employee adopts a child under 06 months old.
  • The female employee has an IUD inserted and implements the sterilization method.
  • Male employees join social insurance and have a wife give birth.
  1. The maternity benefits when pregnancy for female employees  (Phase 01)
  • The time of enjoying the maternity benefits when a check-up
    • The female employees can take leave to go to the hospital to check-up 5 times, 1 time/ 01 day.
    • If the person is far from a medical examination and treatment establishment or the pregnant woman has a medical condition or an abnormal pregnancy, she shall be entitled to 02 days off for each antenatal check-up.

Note: Calculated based on working days, does not count if the check-up visit date falls into public holidays, New Year, weekends.

  • Benefit level for  check-up benefits:

  • Documentary procedures for enjoying the check-up benefits

+ Social insurance book.

+ A copy of the hospital discharge paper.

+ Cases of referral to medical examination and treatment during inpatient treatment, a copy of the referral to the upper-level hospital, or a copy of the referral to the different hospital is required.

  1. The maternity benefits when pregnancy problem for female employees (Phase 02)
  • The benefit period for miscarriage, curettage, abortion, stillbirth or pathological abortion 

+ 10 days if the pregnancy is under 05 weeks; 

+ 20 days if the pregnancy is from 05 weeks to 13 weeks;

+ 40 days if the pregnancy is from 13 weeks to 25 weeks;

+ 50 days if the pregnancy is 25 weeks or older.

Note: The time includes public holidays, New Year, weekends.

  • Benefit rate for miscarriage, curettage, abortion, stillbirth or pathological abortion

  • Documentary procedures for enjoying the maternity benefits when miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth

+ Social insurance book.

+ A copy of the hospital discharge paper.

+ Cases of referral to medical examination and treatment during inpatient treatment, a copy of the referral to the upper-level hospital, or a copy of the referral to a different hospital is required.
